Mike Dream Day 11...

went down yesterday.
Dang. Can you dig that it's been 11 years since graf king Mike Francisco left us? One of Oakland California's finest graffiti artists left this earth way before his time. He was legendary before it went down, and is now immortalized in many a piece around the world.

KRS-One...

Went to the show at the down low. It was no-stop rip-shop after mike-rip-shop. Tried to holler at him after the show but he was deep in meditation. Didn't get to ask him what's going on lately with my old homie Hak' from Channel Live. It's been a minute. Didn't get to give him my info so we could get back in touch. Hey,...we ARE in the era of Facebook, right?! BTW, hometown hero Richie Cunning KILLED ISHT!

Wekfest Indoor Car Show; Fort Mason...

Some kind of car show! Car club jimmie jammie clubs were in-effect representing to the fullest: the Wekfest Indoor Car Show. Hekka camera-totin, skinny jeans & baseball cap tipped back havin, camera slinging, hekka-fine Asian women sportin', folks out catching glimpses of fly rides. I saw it going down on my run to the bridge this morning.

Jimmy Hendrix...

Could my son be the next? Hmmm. But no, seriously. This morning I put a 1/2 sized guitar in his 6 year-old hands and with a little prompting proceeded to pluck the high E string from fret #1 on down. Nicely. So I let him cop it and take it to his mom's to practice. We be jammin'

T'ai Ch'i...

Time for some meridian alignment. Practiced today. What's coming up next will require a discipline of focused energy like I have never experienced before in my life. Let's just leave it at that.

Back to the mundane.

...uh almost forgot

Fort Baker...

Yesterday in the rain was off the hizzy with surfers tempting triple to quad-overhead every-other-waveness to toss them to and fro. Son and I just hunted for nice shelly guitar picks. Little boys could throw rocks into flowing water forever.

nm- out.
